“As part of his BS program, Jeremy worked with me and a team of graduate students on a project to compare 1-D and 2-D tests in geotechnical dewatering applications.  Jeremy’s work on 1-D pressure and suction filtration tests and innovative 2-D filtration tests led to a publication in the International Journal of Geosynthetics and Ground Engineering.

A recent graduate, Jeremy is now working for Engineers Without Borders (EWB).  In his current position, Jeremy evaluates existing EWB-USA programs in the Quetzaltenango area and is evaluating the possibility of establishing a program group within the Palajunoj Valley in partnership with Primeros Pasos, a local non-profit health organization.  This will contribute to the establishment of a formal program structure in the Quetzaltenango region, assist in the creation of support processes for EWB-USA chapters, and help define how EWB-USA can work in a larger program group context to accomplish strategic development goals in collaboration with local partners.

Upon graduation, I’ve worked as a consultant for the New York State Department of Transportation, assisting in various projects such as restoring and reconstructing expressways in Syracuse, NY and New York, NY. In 2013, I began employment at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Long Island Railroad. Currently, I am still with the MTA’s LIRR as a Project Coordinator, assisting in managing capital projects including station rehabilitation and construction of new train yards in Brooklyn, New York.
